Since our founding in 2016, we have supported companies and entrepreneurs in Japan and abroad through advisory, incubation and investment. Drawing on deep experience at the front lines of global finance, we back our partners not only with capital, but with the expertise and network to grow. Working with companies and entrepreneurs across Asia and beyond, we operate on a global scale.
This is a belief I have held for many years — and it is the very starting point of Boardwalk Capital.
For more than 25 years, I battled on the front lines of international finance, experiencing firsthand the scale of global markets and the pace of change. Over those years, Japan's companies, technology and talent — once called the strongest in the world — barely grew. From a macro view, the policies of the government and the Bank of Japan are already nearing their limits.
Yet the companies, services and people we work with are growing at a remarkable pace — many expanding revenue, profit and headcount by 50–100% or more every year.
To create even more of these challengers, we are fully committed to supporting them through our three businesses: advisory, incubation and angel investment.

Joined Salomon Brothers Asia in 1989. After Nikko Citigroup Securities, became Vice Chairman of Citigroup Securities Japan in 2009. Founded Storm Harbor Securities in 2010, and Boardwalk Capital in 2016.
Keio University (Law). At Mitsui & Co., engaged in FX, bond, equity and private equity investment, with nine years in the UK and the Netherlands. Joined the firm in 2019.
Keio University (Economics), Wharton MBA. Held roles at Nomura Securities, Morgan Stanley and Shinsei Bank, and served as Chairman of PAG Japan. Leads our overseas network.
